How to store a wedding dress

I've have my wedding dress for around 2 months and it's stored away in my mom's closet. It's in the dress bag unzipped a bit at the top. Yet i've heard that a dress could turn colors like yellow being stored in a bag. Is this true??? Has anybody heard of this??
My dress is ivory and i am so worried that it will turn yellow on me.

How are you brides stroring your dress?? I hope to hear it's the same way as me so that i have nothing to worry about hahahaha.
