Do NOT go to this store! Metrotown.

I am the type of person who does not let things get to me, and I can always shrug things off and forget about them, but I am so angry about what happened that I'm shaking as I type this. I feel nauseous when I think about it.

Myself, my mom, my sister and my best friend went to Metrotown yesterday to see what was available for bridesmaids' dresses. We went into a store called "Sxxxctive." When asked if we needed help I said we were just looking (it was the first store, and I prefer to look on my own before asking for help). The saleswoman asked what colour we were looking for, and I said I wasn't completely sure yet, something green or blue, depending on how it looks on the girls, and I would let her know if I needed help. She said they can't do anything without knowing the colour (???), and obviously we aren't serious buyers.

Fast forward about 5 minutes; I had already left but my friend and sister were still there. Another girl was with her mother, trying on prom dresses. My friend was standing right there, so the mother asked her opinion on her daughter's dress. The store owner came over and said, "excuse me, are you two friends?" They said no, and he said to my friend, "I've been running this store for 20 years and I don't need your help. You are not a serious buyer; get out of my store." The prom girl's mother said, "excuse me, but I don't feel like we are being made to feel comfortable in your store." The owner said, "just put that dress back on the rack and it will be sold in five minutes. I don't need your business."

Stunned, my friend said, "you know, this is the second time I've been in here and both times I have been treated very rudely."
His response, "what, are you obsessed with me? Stalking me? You keep coming into my store?"
Her: "You know what, you are being a complete a*sshole," and she turned around to leave.

He yelled after her, "yeah, I know your type, girls like you. The slutty way you walk. You're just a w*hore."

My friend and sister came into the store next door, where I was, (and which, by the way, had some really cute dresses), fuming and told me what happened. I went back over and said, "what you just said to my friend is BEYOND unacceptable." He just yelled at me that I was not welcome in his store, and to get out. I told him that I own a business too (irrelevant, but meh) and he has not seen the last of me, and what just happened is complete F-ing BS.

We made a report with mall security and customer service, and next will be the BBB. Another possible option is Human Rights, since she was thrown out while being labeled and called names, which imo is the same as refusing business based on race or ethnicity. I am completely flabbergasted. If anyone told me this story I wouldn't even believe it. I cannot believe this person is still in business.

The store is called 'Sxxxctive' and it's upstairs near Sears. There is another store in the mall run by his wife; I forget the name but it starts with an 'A.'

I went to that store to and first of all they didn't open when the mall opened...there were chains on the doors of both of their stores... then when the finally did open the man there told us we could not shop or look in the store because he did not have a female sales person there... we said that we were just looking and he refused to let us... so we went to the place next door Riviera I think it's called...and they were much nicer and we ended up getting dresses there... we also went to the other store that the crazy people own and the woman there was just as bad... she was pushy and rude.... one of my girls in the wedding party is a bigger girl and she was so rude to her and basically said that they only had 2 styles for "fat people" RUDE... We walked out when she said that.

Just wondering if complaining to Metrotown would make a different (for example... suggeting metrotown not to renew the contract with them?)

    Btw

Fellow members, please remember to make the store name indistinguishable by replacing 3 characters with "x". This will help us avoiding lawsuits from unhappy vendors.

    Thanks.
