Beg Is a dress rental/photo package a good deal?

Hi

I'm starting to look for a wedding dress and begin my planning. I thought the dress would be easiest to start with.

I'm trying to scoop up some end of season deals but I've heard that some photo galleries will rent you the dress as part of the photo package? is this a good deal? cuz I found a dress I liked for $800 and it's new. I can't really afford more than $800 cuz with tax it will be 900, alternations not included.

Can someone please offer me some advice?

Good Luck I think you can do better!

Have you looked at this site:-
http://www.mjmweddings.com/

They have consignment gowns, rental gowns & new gowns, too!

What about Bliss Bridal in New Westminster?
http://www.blissconsignment.com/

Personally, I would keep my gown & photography separate.
What if you don't like the "style" of the photographs?

Happy Planning!

Dress

For sure try Bliss Bridal in New West. I got my dress there. The girls are awsome they were so helpful. Not only do they have consignment dresses but they also have a small selection of new dresses for a very reasonable amount.

Good Luck

I was considering the rental dress/photography package as well, but after checking a few studios I personally don't think you can save a lot with the packages - it's cheaper to have the dress and photography separate.
So many rental dresses I've seen have minor flaws like loose beads/sequins, stains, etc. because they've been worn more than once.
If you're like me, who can't justify spending a fortune on a dress I'll only wear once and not too picky about dress style, I'm sure you can find nice dresses for under 800.

Apparently there's this store called Action Liquidators, in Renfrew.

I know the website doesn't look promising but I plan to still check it out. Will post update after visiting.
Also check Bryan's bridal gallery in the Brentwood Mall, I saw quite a few beautiful dresses there~

Hope this helps!

I found my dress at The Wedding Shop in Maple Ridge. The girls there are very nice and my "dream dress" with beading, pickup style skirt and corset back is only $589. Hope this helps : )
