Film school student videographer

I'm recently out of film school, which was following 3 years of highschool film/video training as well. At both schools I was a student/faculty assistant.

I'm just starting a small videography business of my own, and am booking weddings at a much lower price than what is typical in order to build my demo reel, quickly.

I have a 3 ccd (broadcast quality) video camera, additional gear, an assistant and an editor. I live in Vancouver, and on Vancouver Island as well.

Let me know if you are interested.

Hi there CJ and Crew.

What are your typical rates for 4 hours like? Do you have packages that you can share with us budget minded brides

My best,
Lisa

Budget Minded Brides

As, I said I'm just getting into the biz. Doing so, I'm doing a lot of research. An example of a well established wedding videography's list of prices is this:

Bronze Wedding Package: $1,395, Silver Package: $1,895, Gold Package: $2,895, Platinum Package: $3,995, Double Diamond Package: $5,995.

Now, if you saw a feature film's costs for the day, these prices would seem very low, but for most people, even though, they consider their wedding day to be the most important production of all, might turn away from the idea of a professional videographer, when confronted with such prices.

I'm just working out my package prices, so they might soon change but in the meantime, for a wedding day shoot, I'm charging from $250 - $1000.

Thanks for your interest,

C.J.

Hi CJ

I like to have more detailed information about your videography services because I'm looking for a videographer for my wedding on August 10, 2008. Feel free to PM me with more info. I'm probably going to need at least 8 hours coverage.

Thanks,

Katherine
