Anyone getting married at MEADOW GARDENS GOLF COURSE? - Vancouver Wedding Forum

Hello. I'm getting married july. 07, 2007. at MEADOW GARDENS GOLF COURSE. (pitt meadows) wondering if anyother brides are getting married there too. It would be neat to know what room you choosed and what your doing for decorations. I've started planning with my decorator (bridal beginnings) but you know us brides are minds change all the time with ideas.

I am getting married at Meadow Gardens as well on March 31, 2007 in the deluxe room. Ao far all we have booked is the venue now we need to think about everything else. We are having the ceremony as well as the reception at Meadow Gardens.

I was just wondering if you have picked your marriage officiant and if so who you picked? You were talking about decorations what does Meadow Gardens porvide? We are giong next week to pay the deposit so I haven't had a chance to speak to Claire yet about what they provide in terms of table linens, chairs and chair covers etc. Do you live near Meadow Gardens?

Hi. Yes. I've picked my offiaciant. Dianne Woodward. (look under planning and managemnet I and another member have a thread on Dianne- we are both using her.)

About decorations. I've booked Larissa at Beautiful Beginnings for my decorator. She has done many many weddings at Meadow Gardens and is very familiar with all the policies and what looks good with that particular venue.
Meadow Gardens supplies all the necessary things. Table,chairs,linens, cake and guest tables, ceremony chairs (nice white padded ones) seat planning stand. umm i'm going blank on the rest of the stuff. But not chair covers. I am using chair cover through my decorator.

Is the deluxe room the upstairs room or did you combine the ebony and ivory room??

Wow you sure are a wealth of information. My wedding is only 6 months away I keep thinking I have lots of time but I need to get things started. We booked the upstairs room which has a lounge and then the dinning room. We are having a small wedding maximum 45 people. Just wondering if you sent out save this date cards to your guest from out of town. If so were did you buy them I've looked in several card stores but they didn't have anything. Do you think they would sell them at a bridal supply store? Thanks for letting me know about the marriage officiant I will look her up.

Hello. You made me laugh when you said I was a wealth of information. Yes that is true. I'll admit i'm on the computer all the time looking at wedding things. I'm a stay at home mom (i'm 25) and that allows me to do a lot of wedding planning hahaha. About the save the date card I was going to do them as well. Since I do have a lot of people coming from out of town. I was going to get magnets done with our picture on them. really cute. But I'm having around 150 people and it would cost around 200.00 and I thought that we could use the money towards something else. And realistically everyone knows about our wedding, it's always being talked about. So no one should forget the date. Look at the website www.weddingthings.com they have great ideas of save the date's. You can order through them (they are located in vancouver i believe) or you can make them yourself. Good idea is use your micheal's 40% off coupon you get in the mail and you can make your own. If you go to michaels just look of course in the wedding section. Well I just wrote a novel lol. We met Diane the marriage commisioner on Saturday and chose to go with her. She seems to be really organized and nice. Now we have to start planning and thinking about all the small things wedding favors, how to set the table centrepeices etc.

Depending on what you want for save the date cards, Costco may be an option.

We stopped by their photo area/member services on the way out one day to look into the cost of printing photos (since we are hoping to have a photographer just take our photos and give us the files) and noticed their photo cards. The display card was for a birth annoucement, but the woman working there showed us some samples that included Wedding announcements as well. We are going to have engagement photos done, and have the Costco cards made up with a photo and then our names, the date, and our wedding website address so everyone can keep up to date on our plans.

Now we just need to have our engagement photos done, hire a photographer, and order the cards...

I am thinking of getting chair covers just wondering if you are, if so where will you be getting them from. If I rent them do you think it's pretty easy to put them on. I was on the wedding channel website this morning and I started our own wedding website it's free. It's kinda cool to have our own wedding website were we can post so many things.

Hello Mel. I am getting chair covers. My decorator; Larissa throught bridal beginnings is doing them for me. If it's just the chair covers and sash only that you need and you are going to put them on then i'd look around to find the best price-but go see the chair covers as well because some look really cheap. I'm not sure if you can rent them and do them yourself throught Larissa but you can always ask. She's great!! I've seen her work at the Golf Course recently and I'm so glad that i've booked her.
