Stanley Park Chapel

Hello everyone out there,

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had their ceremony and reception at the Chapel at Stanley Park? The reception facility is upstairs and can hold a maximum of 60 people which sounds like the perfect amount of guests for us since we both want a small and intimate wedding. Any feedback would be appreciated!!!

We went with the sister site in Richmond (Minoru Chapel) for our ceremony.

Dealings so far have been okay!

There are only 2 non denominational chapels in the lower mainland, The Chapel at Stanley park and the one in Richmond (that I found anyhow)... this is what my Fiancee and I were looking for since we are both of different religions.. our 2nd option was to do QE Park at the Pavillion but my parents liked this one better

Hahaha my FH is so funny. Even though they are non-denominational, he still doesn't want them because they're "churches" Such sillyness. Oh well, because I love him, I will respect his feelings and we will find something else eventually that will let us "meet in the middle"

Ya, we kind of went through the same thing... its still a church thing- that is why QE Pavillion was a close contender

Yeah, well we've got lots of time to think about it. FH and I have kinda put the brakes on the whole wedding thing so we're not making any plans right now.

I am of course still addicted to the boards and will continue to lurk.

Hey, just adding my 2 cents on the Stanley Park Chapel.

My friend got married there about 3 years ago. It's a very nice place but yes very small and limited seating. Unfortunately the western part of the area was under development so it was nothing but dirt. It was a grand day so it didn't bother everyone. Now it's nicely developed with grass so all is good. I can't find my pictures but i'll post them if i find them. hehe

My best man, is getting married at Minoru next year Sept. I'm going to be excited to visit that place. The gardens look nice.

Cya around.
