If it were a pair of shoes, The Savvy Bride Showcase would be the cute black kitten heals in your closet – fun, sensible yet sexy and wearable by everyone. “I wanted to create a wedding show that was very visual, intimate, interactive and obtainable” says Kerry Reid owner of Fairy Godmother Weddings and Showcase Producer. “The Savvy Bride Showcase allows guests to check out three different wedding styles put together by a range of great vendors giving them a better idea of what their wedding could look like.”
In 2007 The Savvy Bride Showcase was held at The UBC Boathouse in Richmond. Out of the three wedding themes displayed, the Modern group was the favorite with its black, white and red color scheme. For 2008, the Showcase will take place on Sunday April 20th in a picturesque park-like setting at The Kirkland House in Ladner; a restored 1911 Edwardian farm house surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens, a stone walkway to the Ceremony Gazebo and a tranquil rock pond complete with a waterfall and sweetheart bench. Guests will be treated to canaps, cake and cocktails while they peruse through Vintage Glam, Garden Delight and Vancouver Chic weddings meeting over 50 of Vancouver’s savviest vendors.
