| The worst thing happened last night.... My Fh and I came home from the gym last night and we unlocked the front down and found our house ran-sacked and a lot of our stuff was stolen.
They came in threw the basement(kicked in the door) and came upstairs and took all of our expensive electronic equipment....including our Digital Camera for our honeymoon and the 2GB memory card FH bought for me for Valentines Day.
The worst of it all was that a very expensive and gorgeous bracelet was lent to me from a lady from work to wear for the wedding (that is in 19 days) and it was stolen as well.....along with my earrings for the wedding. I am sooo lucky that my dress and our rings were not stolen...but we are positive someone spooked them or they would have got alot more.
So my saying of "It's never ending" rings true again....we have the worst luck...and you would believe me if I told the whole story of our lives over the last couple of years.
Anyways I just needed to tell someone because its taking up all of my thoughts right now. |

| I'm so sorry to hear that, platinumcheetah. I can't imagine how violated you must feel.
Did the woman have insurance on her bracelet? It's terrible when things that aren't yours become stolen or missing. I can imagine the guilt.
Thank goodness that your rings and your wedding dress are still there. At least you can see a small silver lining on this huge stormcloud. | |

| Can't imagine something like this happening days before the wedding! How awful is that! It seems almost like the robber(s) knew you have all that precious stuff around the house before your wedding. @#$#@$ to these terrible people!
My brother had his house broken into a few years back. They almost always have people at home except a one-hour time slot during the day. The robber came at exactly that time. They suspect it might have been a neighbour! And my parents had their place broken into twice within a week. I heard sometimes the robbers return to the same place after a few days to collect what they left behind the previous time. I suggest you put your wedding rings and other precious items in a safety deposit box or keep them at someone else's place for the time being.
Some people get all the bad luck. The world is unfair. I hope you will always have good luck after your wedding! |

| Oh Sheri my heart goes out to you and your FH.
I am so sorry this happened to you!!!! There is nothing quite like the feeling of having your home ransacked by strangers. *HUGS*
I will second the idea of perhaps storing your valuables in a safe place until the wedding. Perhaps you should consider installing an alarm. I am hoping very much that you had insurace.
Again, so very sorry. I am really happy to hear that your dress and your wedding rings were untouched. |

| Thanks for the support..
On saturday after it happened we loaded up our car and took all the valubles to someone elses house so that when we get broken into again....because usually they come back....they will have a rude surprise that nothing will be there for them to take. |

| OH Wow,
I am so sorry to hear that. Do you have any content insurance to cover anything? Fingers crossed that they find the people that did this. I hope your wedding brings some good luck to you for the years to come.

| screw those robbers! I'm so sorry that you and your FH had to go through that ...I don't know how ppl can live with themselves after violating somebody else and their belongings. Thank goodness your rings and dress weren't touched. Don't worry about the bracelet - Im sure the person who lent it to you will understand. The important thing is that you guys were not hurt in the process. Sorry that you have been going through all that bad luck - and I hope it all changes for the better! If you need our help in any way, let us know. *HUGS* |

| Wow that really sucks! What bad timing. Not that there's ever good time to get robbed, but who needs the added stress just weeks before getting married? At least your rings and dress are ok. It's such a horrible feeling to know that someone was going through your stuff. It's good that you've moved your valuables to someone elses house so you don't have to worry about them now. Just try to stay positive and focus on your wedding and honeymoon which is getting so close!

| Well we're staying back at our house now minus our valubles...we've decided to keep those far away.
I am still on edge here and every little noice I hear makes my heart skip a beat. Meh I will be back to normal eventually.....what ever that is...
Thanks so much for all of your support and kind thoughts.
I just can't wait to go on the honeymoon now....we need some time away from here. |

| There's always the upside. Hey platinumcheetah, sorry to hear about the robbery, especially so close to the wedding. I'm bummed for you that all these disturbing events in you and FH's life that have occurred over the last couple of years. But guess what? With all this bad, there's gotta be a silver lining and it's coming up really soon - in a couple of weeks in fact! The wedding will bring you closer and being surrounded by family and dear friends is the best therapy, and the honeymoom will be the icing to top it off! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...and it sure sounds like you're dusting off and moving on already! Good luck and relax for the last couple of weeks before the BIG day. In the end...you will be Mrs. FH! |

| What an awful thing to have happen - I'm so sorry to hear this Sheri, I just can't imagine how you're feeling.
If it helps you feel better, why not get a couple of those alarms put on your doors - they are about $8 each, you put half on your door and the other half on the door frame. Unless you disarm it, the alarm will sound when you open the door. I got one of these when I lived alone, and it just gave me some piece of mind when I'd hear 'sounds', as I knew no one could have come in.
I hope you're feeling better soon, and can enjoy the wonderful wedding and honeymoon ahead. ::hugs:: |
