Bridal Store Vent LONG ....UPDATE AGAIN

Okay girls, so I bought my dress from the dreaded Heart To Heart Bridal store and I am paying for it now. With 4 weeks left to go I went into the store for my last fitting. For some reason, my bustier was not fitting right under my dress. The seamstress started messing with it, pinning it and whatnot and basically just made everything worse. The final result was taking my garters of my bustier to see if that made it better. I was so not happy but my dress looked horrible so I was ready to try anything.

So I go back 2 weeks later (now with only 2 weeks to go) and try it on...my bustier is a 32B (I usually wear a 34 but this sits a little lower and we needed it a little more snug) but trust me I am no smaller than that. The seamstress for some unknown reason to me has decided to take it upon herself to take in my bustier an inch on either side!!! So now I have huge rolls over my hips where none exsisted before!!! So I am getting pretty pissed. And then to top it off, I pulled up my dress (to where I now know it's supposed to sit) and low and behold everything fits great now!!!!! Except my bustier now with no garters.

I wanted the first time I ever wore garters to be on my wedding day and I spent a fair chunk of change on this thing, so I asked them to fix it and put the garters back on but the seamstress has already disposed of my garters and no can do.

To make it worse, I paid for all my alterations ahead of time (a hem and maybe taking it out in the chest area) but I had to pay for it ahead of time. Now the seamstress is trying to say that she made alterations to my dress that I know for a fact was never made to the dress.

So now they are telling me they can't fix my bustier and trying to make me pay for alterations that were never done!!!!

Not to mention when my dress is now sitting properly on my body it falls down and no longer fits me properly. So now on my wedding day, once my dress is on, I now have to pin my dress to my bustier in order to make it fit properly.

Am I wrong in being completely pissed and what should do/say when the owner calls me tommorow???? I want this fixed and I want it fixed now!

Be honest! Tell the owner that you aren't happy, and I would ask, "What can we do about this?" See what she says.

I ordered a bridesmaid dress from Heart to Heart (I was the MOH for my best friend last year) and we didn't get the dresses until A WEEK before the wedding. I had to ship the dresses across Canada on rush so that the girls could get their alterations before the wedding date. I ended up spending nearly $60 shipping the damn things because they told me the wrong date.

H to H is terrible....I am glad I did not get my dress from there ....I am so sorry this is happening to you!

I've been in there once and it took then 30 mins to even notice I was there then was not that nice to me when I was describing the dress I wanted(probably because they did not have it) then she threw some books at me and told me too look through the books and show her which one it was....but then she never came back!!

The my sister went there to get my little niece measured...and they were rude to her as well. They stupidly measured my niece all bundled up in her winter clothes ....then argued with my sister about giving her the measurements...when my sister knew they were wrong anyways...

I dispise that store!

I think you will still look stunning in your dress anyways!...can we see pictures?

Oh hun i am so sorry you had to deal with this. They should not have thrown it out. They should have kept it. If they are trying to make you pay for somthing they didn't do then flat out tell them. I would be so mad that not only i but chris as well would go there and and grab the dress and go to someone else..It's so horrable that us brides have to go through this. I hope everything works out for you...Mindy

Be strong!! A good seamstress can fix anything-so no need for stress. As for the store...what a$$holes!! Hope you don't get stuck with any bills from them

Read the posts on WB about this place. IMO that Darlene (owner) is a crook, and I wouldn't trust her at all. Their record with the BBB is atrocious. They can not throw away part of your outfit - make them replace them (knowing that place they've given them to someone else and charged a bunch for special ordering in parts or something).

I hope this works out, and definitely put in a report to the BBB. She ruins weddings for too many trusting brides.

I agree that the owner is a crook, now they are trying to tell me that I did not pay for 2 alterations in advance, I apparently paid $120 just to hem my dress!!!! But the good news is the store does have at least one amazing seamstress (Flo) and she agreed to fix my dress (taking it in at least 1 1/2 and adding a new hook and eye and reparing my new (and free) bustier for $25! She also agreed to have it ready this Friday so I am crossing my fingers and girls please keep them crossed for me too that my dress will be fixed!

I'm sorry to hear about all the drama you're being put through!!!

I hope Flo does a fabulous job and makes everything perfect for you!!! *HUGS* It will get better... no worries!

Ok seriously, i'm having evil thoughts about H to H. I want to go in there and be the "Bridezilla of their worst nightmares" and I'll secretly videotape it all and post it so that it makes you feel better?

Sounds good? :P hehehe ok... so maybe I exaggerate, but it would be fun to "give them some of their own medicine" as they say.

Yay, that is so great! It's too bad you had to go through all that stress beforehand, but I'm so glad your dress is perfect. Now for pics!
