Can you do me a favor ...

Not sure on traditions but I'll be having favors for my guests...unfortunately, there's alot. Wondering if you have or don't have favors for your wedding. I'm budgeting $1.00 for sure..

I would suggest getting a deposable camera on each table instead. I never know how to deal with the favors I got from weddings....

A friend of mine got this little digital camera locally for around $10.

It would be great if it has a flash on it as well!

For me personally I don't care about recieving a favor at a wedding. For my wedding I am supply a favor. I too wanted to keep the cost down as low as possible and I decided on cookies. I think they're cute! and worked in my budget. Either 1.25 each or they come 1.50 wrapped and with a matching ribbon to my wedding color. Her website is www.cakesondemand.com She's from chilliwack but does travel and she's even meeting me half way for me to pick up my cookies. She's a wonderful lady.

Even so, if you know someone who likes to bake or even make them yourself. It would be even cheaper.

Good Luck on deciding!!!!

Talking not really in favour of the favor idea

Hi!
We have been more focussed on the event & food.

Serving a light afternoon tea reception after the ceremony.

Then just immediate family are going to dinner.

I would like to find something unique & different and that would appeal to the men-folk!

I have thought of the Christmas crackers (not in Christmas colours, though) from Costco. They have the funny paper hat inside, a prize, a quote or joke and are noisy...briefly!

If nothing else, I think they would be a good conversation piece and help with getting people to talk & mingle....hhhmmm???

Favours

We went with frames from the dollar store that we spray painted Silver (1.50 each) and have put the guests name, our name & date in them. They will double as place cards. Then when our thank you cards go out we'll be sending a pic to go into that frame.

My sister did this for her wedding & it was a hit. I don't have the thank you card pic in the frame but left it as it was & it is beside a larger framed pic of her & bro in law.

Another thing we are doing for give aways is mini bottles of wine - 2 glasses in each bottle, 1 bottle per couple. My sis just bought a beer & wine making place in Ladner so we are getting those at a very good price!

I wasn't going to use them as I already had the frames but my sis thought it would be a good way to promote the business and I am going to try to sucker her in for paying for a portion of it & encourage them to do up a lable on the back of the bottle with their store name, address & phone number.

LOL not sure if this helped at all or not!

That said I was just thinking of every other wedding I have been to & the favours have ranged from cake, mints, candles, candle holders, wine etc and being the ungreatful person I am I never really apprecaited it or perhaps it would be better if I said I don't think I would've noticed if they were missing.

Favours

We decided instead of giving everyone a small favour that we would make a donation to the SPCA Biscuit Fund instead. We are big animal lovers so we thought this would be better. They have lables that you can download and print so you can leave them at everyones place setting. http://www.spca.bc.ca/biscuit/weddings.shtml

That is a brilliant idea! All the charity orgainizations should provide the same service. How nice it would be if the labels can show the names of the bride and groom, the wedding date and the name of the guests. It would make a nice keepsake! People will probably begin collecting "wedding charity labels"!

These are our favours and I absolutely love them This was my first purchase for our wedding and I would not even think about changing them. I absolutely love the idea of everyone having an assortment of flowers in their garden that will remind them of your wedding day. Check them out

wedding favours

I got a great deal on champagne glasses and I am dressing up the stems with gold wire and coloured crystals that match out colour scheme. They look very elegant and it has that personal touch. We also are giving away chocolate dipped fortune cookies in take-away boxes too.
