Dan Time Swapping

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping time with me? In order to keep costs down I am going to need help the day of our wedding. We are not getting married until Oct 6 2007 and will be looking for some help in:
  • Putting out linens (onto the tables - tables & chairs will already be set up)
  • Spreading out flat marbles
  • Setting up 2 candle holders with candles
  • Putting up the table marker
  • Putting out the place markers
  • Perhaps putting chair covers on the chairs (don't have the $$ for this but I'd really like them)
What I will have done to make this easier - divide all the items for each table into their own box and leave said box on the table that the decorations need to go onto. I will also include a photo of how I would like each table set up in that box. I can't see it taking more than 10 - 15 mins per table.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in time swapping but (not to sound un-greatful) please don't reply unless you are 110% positive you can & will be able to do this on my wedding day. I will 110% return the favour / same courtesy to you.

Thanks in advance,

Stacey

Hi Stacey,
I'm already in on the time swap idea (K8E from WB) but I thought I'd let you know that if you want chair covers, there is Elaine who started a Bridal Co-op (http://wholesaleflowers.bravehost.com/) that rents them for 1.50 each and .50 for the sash. I haven't anything cheaper anywhere. It still adds up mind you, which is why I've decided that I LOVE the look of grey plastic!

Hi stacey, I'm a little reluctant to post because I can't be 110% sure yet, but I go the Douglas College just a few blocks away from there and I am thinking I SHOULD be able to do it... but I can't be 110% sure yet until i've maybe figured out my sched for that semester, which could be awhile... sorry! but I'm 87% sure as of this very moment!

Hey that's cool I know I am asking really early but would like to offer help to others who are getting married before me. You'd know by the end of Aug / beinging of September, no? Do keep in mind though that it'll be a Saturday and I am not sure if you'll be in class or not that day so you may not be in the area. Unless your a sick puppy like me & going to class on Saturday (I did that for one semester - I learnt that lesson lol)

Hi Katherine,

I recognized ya! Yeah I have spoke with Elaine in regards to her chair covers, the only problem is I don't know if we even have room for that great deal. Hmmm I wonder if I can embrace the gray plastic too?!?!? The only thing I am worried about gray plastic chair wise is in a vendor review of my hall I read that the chairs were quite dirty / dusty. With everyone being all dressed up I would feel horrible if someone ruined something due to dirty chairs. I am neurotic but not quite neurotic to ask the hall to clean them...

yes, I understand, I don't know what exactly I'll be needing help on yet... (my wedding isn't even until the summer of 2008!) so I was actually just thinking of helping you, no strings attached! I'll definitely be able to tell you if I'm available by the end of august, just right now it's really early lol. I most likely won't have classes on saturdays, I'm in North Delta, but my FH lives in Burnaby, so it's not too long a commute from there...
