We used Rev. Allan Burnett who works at the Chapel at Stanley Park and Minoru Chapel. My husband and I liked him from the moment we had our initial meeting and we were extremely pleased with our ceremony.

It was perfect!

I forgot to mention we were married at a golf course and he didn't have a problem travelling.

Hello. I booked DIANNE WOODWARD CAROL.(YESTAURDAY). I've been talking to her for the last few months and she seems like a wonderful person. I'm very happy with her.

I will have to give her a call then, we are trying to find someone from the Coquitlam / New West area so that we don't have to pay for travel, as everyone knows you are spending enough money everywhere else!!

I located her too because we didn't want to pay for all the extra travel fees. Again compared to others I liked her and felt very comfortable with her. I don't know about you but I liked the idea that she's a lady. My fh and I went back and forth whether to have a male or a female commissioner and I decided on a female because it was a little bit different. Well that's what i thought anyway. (all the weddings i've been to were male) My fh didn't care too much. I basically decide on everything lol.

It doesn't matter to me if they are male or female just loud enough for everyone to hear. My favorite part of you reply was "My fh didn't care too much. I basically decide on everything lol". Mine is the same way except he has been odd on a few things:

1) Insisted on a "West Coast" setting for the ceremony
2) Really wanted to do the bouquet / garter toss but I talked him out of it
3) Wants me to walk down the isle to the bridal march - I think I am winning on this one too

I talked with Dianne Carol today & we will be meeting her on Sept 4th - we'll see how it goes!

We went & met with her today - vice nice lady and I feel comfortable knowing that she'll be doing our ceremony. She was chatty but also stuck to the point or brought us back to the point.

I don't know the right word but she was great when I explained that this is the first time that Mark or I had done this and that I grew up catholic so most of the wedding I've been to have been traditional and religous.

She offered a lot of suggestions when I asked questions and I look foward to have her on our big day, thank you for suggesting her!

Meet with Dianne today. She's great and is so helpful. Ryan and I aren't writing our vows because i'll be nervous and i think i'd forget them. Actually i know that i'd forget them or at least mess them up lol.

Dianne gave us many different types of vows to look over and we can mix and match the sayings to find something that suits us best.

Have you looked into rev. Brent Sheppard? he does religious or non-religious, what ever you want. I met him at a wedding show and he is just SOO nice and fun and charming, me and FH are definitely going to use him. I hear he is highly recommended he has a website, www.heyrev.com

I went to several weddings where Brent Sheppard was the commissioner. He was great. You are in good hands!

How much are you paying for your marriage commissioner? I know that Brent Sheppard charges $350 and just wondering if that's quite a bit more then a marriage commissioner or not.

We are paying $75 + kilometers to & from the venue. I believe that is all a comissioner can charge as opposed to a reverend (sp?)
