When to send out invitations???

Hi. okay here's the think I wondering when the appropriate times is to mail out invitations. Some people say 2 months, 4 months and even 6 months. UMMM. I was thinking of sending the SAVE THE DATE magnets out soon. And the around 2 months before send out the invitations. What are you brides doing????

Send them about 3 months ahead. That way people who are out of town have a chance to search for flights etc. I wouldn't waste my money on save the date magnets. Also by sending them 3 months ahead if you gets lots of no's in the begining you can invite a few more people that you weren't sure about.

Secret

I think your right about the save the date magnets. THEY ARE A WASTE OF MONEY. I think i wanted them because they are cute. (I was going to get the one with our picture on them) but then I have to pay for postage ect. and basically everyone already knows our wedding date.
