Anyone else using an Ipod?

Is anyone else using an Ipod instead of a dj? We are having a small wedding and cannot justify the cost of hiring a dj so we decided to use an Ipod instead. Where do you get your songs from? I know you can download them from Itunes but it's 1.00 per song and after a while it can get quite pricey. Does anyone use any other site to get their music? I heard Limewire is good, the one where you buy a membership. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks!!

Hi, I don't have an ipod. However, I am currently doing the love story video for sunshinebride. We ran into great problem with songs downloaded from itune.

As it has a DRM protection built in the songs. I cannot play the songs on my PC and we cannot convert them into other commonly used format such as mp3 or wma. I would highly discourage anyone buying songs for wedding at itune. You may want the flexibility and play the songs on other devices other than ipod. Getting the CD and do your own conversion into MP3 is still the best way for wedding.

BTW, always have a plan B for weddings. ipods do break down !!

I use Limewire to download my songs, I guess it's not "legal" though. http://www.limewire.com

My uncle has a gabillion songs on his i pod which we are just going to let PLAY!!! I can't justify a dj and in my experience they are all cocky bastards anyway. An Ipod will do what you tell it, and has tousands of songs to use. Good luck
