| Hi there,
I'll bite... I am in the process of planning my wedding Oct 6 2007. I have found the reception location & will hopefully find the ceremony location this upcoming weekend. I have already bought my give aways which will double as my place settings on the table. I have a caterer booked as well as a DJ. We've bought our candle holders, candles & some "knick knacks" to decorate the tables with. We have a couple ideas in the way of photographers. We also have a tentative guest list. We've decided on a toonie bar for the reception. I have never done this before & really am not sure of what I may be missing. I am looking to take suggestions and would like to discuss the options of having someone help us the day of before the ceremony starts.
Do you have previous wedding planning experience, are you with the better business bureau?
If your still interested please feel free to contact me at staceysayers@hotmail.com be sure to include a subject on the e-mail something about a wedding or I will probably think it is spam & delete it.
Thanks in advance,
Stacey

| She's Great! Hi Ladies,
I just finished writing a refence letter for this lovely lady - here's a portion of it: To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure that we write this letter of recommendation for Selena McKnight. We had the pleasure of working with Selena from January 2007 - October 2007 while planning and celebrating our Wedding. Selena is a highly qualified event / wedding planner. She consistently delivered the types of ideas and solutions necessary to achieve a perfect day for us. She gave suggestions of quality vendors that were equally devoted to our event. Sadly we found some of our own (not so great) vendors and she handled conflict with grace and intelligence. Her dedication to quality customer service was bar none. Selena also holds a Marketing Management - Event Marketing Associate Certificate from BCIT. Which includes the following courses to name a few: Fundraising, Marketing, Event Planning, Public Relations, Wedding Planning, and Professional Skills etc Selena's desire for you to have the best event is among the best I have seen. She has the drive and energy necessary to see complex projects through to completion, guiding teams and clients through the entire planning process, on time and within budget. She is both a team player and a dynamic leader, a professional who wins the respect of others through her integrity and unwavering desire to bring out the best in her teams. I can confidently recommend Selena for any events you may be hosting from Birthday's to Weddings, Girl's Retreats, Stagettes, milestone occasions and many more. If I may provide you with any further information in your consideration of Selena, please feel free to contact me.

| Just a head's up... I was looking over some of the prior posts and realized that I needed to make a reply asap!.
I DO NOT do any business with "The Wedding Co-op" nor the founder of any longer. Due to reoccuring problems, inability to follow up on agreed contracts etc.
I also do not do any business with a couple of other wedding vendors that I have personally found to be untrustworthy, unreliable and disrespectful. If I could post these "Bad" vendors and explain I would, if you have any concerns you could ask me.
Please ladies, be sure to check out reputable wedding sites such as this to get a second opinon before hiring a vendor!!
Happy Planning to all of you in 2008!...and contact me if you have any questions or concerns. teehee.

| What can I say, for I am but a DJ? I shall give it my best shot, nonetheless. Aside from the classy, original work that she does, Selena is personable. My greatest peeve when I deal with "professionals" is when I hear something like, "I'll see what I can do," yet, with my own eyes, I see that he/she to whom I requested something does not even try to do anything.
When I saw Selena working at a wedding last summer, I honestly thought that she was a professional wedding planner who also happened to be a good friend of the bride and groom. She was adding that extra touch to everything, as though it were her duty as a friend. I see it this way: she was definitely a hired professional, who provided TLC as a friend. Does that make sense? If it does not appear to make sense, it is only because this kind of professionalism is rarely seen. |
