Vendor Tipping Etiquette

Couple of questions regarding vendor tipping etiquette...

1. Do you believe that it's appropriate for vendors to expect a tip? Why or why not?

2. If so, what's the standard/etiquette in determining that amount?

What are your general thoughts on this topic?

It depends, I believe freelance vendors would expect a tip, but if you go for big companies (like tux rentals, big florists, bakeries), the charge should be on the bill.
