"Twilight" Decor!

I really want my reception decor to be full of lights, just sparkling with them. If I go with the Roundhouse I am not going to decorate the ceiling since it is sooooo high and a beauty of it's own, but I've been collecting pictures. I thought I'd share my favorite ones incase anyone needs inspiration!

Never mind, all of my files are "too big" to upload! AARG!!!
I will work on it. I don't feel like resizing all of my files to 39kB

A good idea for a "twilight" effect would be to get those LED christmas lights that have different settings that you can change from twinkling to blinking and other settings. I know you can get them in all different colours.

You could pin them around the tables. Also alot of silver, white and light greyish blue decorations could help.

When I find a couple of pictures I will post them.

I love that idea too, that's one of the things I loved about my venue. The reception is in a huge tent, and the top of it is filled with white mini lights - like stars all above!

LED lights are such a good idea. I had no idea you could get them to blink in different settings. My colors are lilac, plum and champagne (although I really love different shades of pink... aak) so I think I would just have white lights and maybe some purple lights shining around the headtable..

<-- this is my faavvoorritte

<-- I love how the head table GLOWS!

<-- I think this will be my center piece, with more votives around the outside. Just have to decide on my flowers.

I love the ultra-glowing look!

I'm wondering, do you already have a source for these lights, or are you getting them in a package from your florist? I've found the submersable LED's online, but in stores have only found them at the liquor store (the 'ice cube' ones), and need a better source to get about 30 of them.

Is that the Riverside Banquet Hall? I looked there but out of the 4 rooms they have, the only one I wanted was already booked for my date so I found somewhere else!

I found a few sources online but haven't looked too hard yet. You said you found them at a liquor store.... hmmm.... I would like to see what supplier they are from or even the brand name, because I work at a Beer, Wine & Liquor Store and can get things in for COST! I'm going to have to go through all of the catalogues and find them!!! I will let you know!

I believe I saw those lights displayed at wedding fair... I THINK that the florist who was displaying them was Lobbans? I would be REALLY intrested in finding out where to get some of these little lights!!! They are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!
If you can buy them wholesale, perhaps if a few of us got together and ordered a bunch the price would be lower? Keep me posted!!!

I looked up the Glowlights in my wholesale distributers calalogues today.

Rainbow Glowcubes - 8 functions/cube (this must mean they change to 8 different colors?)
$2.69/e (minimum order - 48)
------------------------------------------------
Rainbow Glowcubes - 8 functions/cube
$4.79/2 pack (minimum order - 16)
------------------------------------------------
Single Color Glowcubes - Red, Orange, Blue, White or Green
$1.99/e (minimum order - 48)

Expensive, but SOOOO worth the effect!! I don't think I can get the price lowered even if we buy a ton, but I can speak to the company and see what their policy is later this week.

I also have this website saved:
http://www.codwholesale.com/litecubes.htm

and

http://www.codwholesale.com/acolyte.htm

Of course the prices listed on those websites are in US $$ plus shipping.

Wow - way less than I found them at!
They were $6.99/pair at the store, pretax. The ones I have are the rainbow ones. You can set them on red, green, blue, yellow, lt. blue, pink, white*, or flicker between all colours. Downsides: white has bits of other colours in it, and the two cubes seem to do slightly different things. But they're pretty cool looking, and submerged under flowers in a bowl they glow amazingly.

I'd be looking for either the rainbow 2 packs, or single colour whites, and I'd be happy with the prices they've given you, although less would be a bonus. Do you know which ones you're needing, and what you're going to do with them?

I was able to order Rose Lights through my work for wholesale this morning!! $212 for twelve!!! I ordered the ones though that look like tropical flowers, in lilac. You spray water on them (they use real leaves) and they open up. How cool is that?? I can't wait until they come in. I'm going to use them for my guest table, cake table, DJ booth, around the bar, etc.

Also I ordered $150 "glowcubes" for... get this... $1 each!!! I love wholesalers! I got the Rainbow ones that have 3 different settings (solid, blinking, or gradual change) in the multi color, to use in my centerpieces. They were $1.99 but when my manager called to place the order he said he would only charge me $1, I guess because it's for my wedding? I had originally told her to order me 100 but when she told me the new price, I made her call him back and order me 50 more! *well, they are actually the pails of 48*

I am also going to take advantage of this to order all of my ribbons and favour wrapping materials!!!
