Help1 Mary Kay

Ok so i am trying to find "good" face product and make up. I am not willing to spend the money on it, where before i was young and didn't care what i used. i had a free consultation with a mary kay lasy today and thier product looks really good. Does anyone use thier product? any great stories they would like to share about it... it's a lot of money for me to put out on the product line but i am willing to, i just want to see what other think about it.

FH's aunt sells Mary Kay and she managed to convince me to use the products about a year ago. They are expensive because you have to buy the set (which I think is positively stupid), but once you make the initial purchase the prices are about the same as alot of other products.

I like the moisturizer and foundation (and blush & nail polish), but I'm not a huge fan of the cleanser. I actually think I'm going to switch to a different cleanser once this bottle runs out. If I were you I'd go check out a book called "Don't go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me" (it's probably at the library as it's a little pricey) or her website (www.cosmeticscop.com ?maybe?). I've been following her advice on and off for the past couple years and I've found that whenever I actually follow it my skin always looks better. I haven't had a chance to check out what she thinks of Mary Kay products properly, but I did read (flipping through the book in the store) that she likes the Timewise moisturizer (the one I use).

By the way be prepared to stand strong if you decide to use Mary Kay...the sales ladies love to bring in new products sell, sell, sell! On the positive side though, they also drop the products off for you and give you a call to see if you need to re-order.

I have never used Mary Kay, but have heard some good things about it.

When you say "face product" do you mean cleansers? Moisturizers? Makeup? or all of the above?

I get my products from a variety of places. Something I have discovered a few months ago that I LOVE is facial soap from Lush called "Fresh Pharmacy" SP? It is AMAZING. Whenever I have a "breakout" it is wicked for helping to clear it up. Also, their teatrea water toner spray is great too. I'm not an especially oily person so I only use it in my T zone, but it's fantastic. They have tons of products and ok... I admit it, I just have FUN going in and looking at all of their stuff.

As far as makeup goes, I can honestly say I'm a devoted MAC customer. I love their products.

Anyway, hope you find something you love, no matter what it is!!!
